Ioniqa Technologies located in Eindhoven, is a spin-off from the Technical University Eindhoven and

specialized in ‘Magnetic Smart Processes’ which include magnetic materials and separation processes. Since 2011 Ioniqa is focusing on creating value from waste. Ioniqa's Magnetic Smart Process is a platform technology for the circular recycling of plastics as well as organic materials. Its Circular PET Polyester solution being the first to be marketed and for this purpose Ioniqa has a 1,000L industrial test location in Rotterdam. In the scale up there is close cooperation with several industrial partners in the value chain.

The Slovenian National Institute of Chemistry (NIC) has approx. 300 employees, of which around 260 carry out research work in 14 departments & 2 infrastructure centres; 136 of these have doctorates of science. Basic and applied research are focused towards fields that are of long-term importance to both Slovenia and the world: biology, biotechnology, environmental protection, structural and theoretical chemistry, analytical chemistry, materials research, and chemical engineering, through which the Institute performs world class basic research and supports the needs for technology transfer in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.

NOVAMONT is an Italian industrial company whose roots lie in the Montedison School of Materials Science and which was set up to implement the ambitious project of some researchers from the chemical corporation: to integrate chemistry, agriculture and the environment. Founded in 1989, it is now worldwide leader in the sector of bioplastics and involved in the development of bioproducts such as biolubricants, biochemicals and cosmetic ingredients from renewable sources.

Arkema is a French leading chemical company, with about 7.5 G€ of sales from products in Specialty Chemicals (long chain polyamides, fluorinated polymers, additives, molecular sieves…), Industrial chemicals (Thiochemicals, Fluorochemicals, Hydrogen Peroxide, PMMA) and Acrylics. Specialty chemicals and monomers produced by Arkema require high purities. Arkema currently operates several plants using renewable resources, such as castor oil for its polyamides. Arkema aims to reduce its global footprint and is investigating technologies to promote the recycling of its polymers and to use recycled materials in its applications.

The Fricke and Mallah GmbH, founded in 1995, is one of the leading German suppliers of microwave ovens for industry and research. In the field of microwave tunnels and chamber, FMMT’s machines installed basis is over 800 kW total power. The main applications for the ovens are found in the ceramic, casting, wood, food, pharmaceutical and chemical industry. To make the microwave application very effective the development and test of the ovens are accompanied by a close dialogue with the customer. The used microwave generators and antennas are from own production and designed for microwave powers up to 20 kW. They are also supplied to several oven manufacturers in Europe and USA. A further activity is the development of power electronics and microwave measurement equipment.

MAIER manufactures components for the automotive industry. In Europe, Maier heads, in particular, the development and manufacture of body colour painted front grilles, chromed caps, wheel-trims, wheelcaps and petrol cap lids, as well as producing a wide array of other automotive components and body modules (mudguards, consoles, air vents, fascia, door trims, handles, etc.).

The Pittini Group, headquartered in Osoppo, Udine province, is a leading company in the production of long steels for the construction and mechanical industry.

 

Ferriere Nord S.p.A. (FENO), founded in the Sixties, is the largest company in the group, with manufacturing facilities located in Osoppo (Udine) and Nave (Brescia). The whole production site includes an electric steel mill, a rolling mill for the production of steel bars and coils for reinforced concrete, one rolling plant for wire rod besides several systems for meshes and lattice girders. Steel products produced by the Ferriere Nord plants are renowned at the international level for high safety and ductility.

HTT Engineering was founded in 2014 as company to develop solutions primarily for metallurgical industry. Development of new equipment and processes was essential since the start. Company developed new technology of oxygen fuel injectors including integrated carbon and lime lances for electric arc furnace.
